Friday Introduction || Update on November Goals, My Coaching Program, and December Goals!

December 1, 2017

Hey Guys! If we haven’t met before, I’m Erin! I’ve been doing these #FridayIntroduction blogs on the first Friday of the month since earlier this year and it has been so much fun letting you guys into my world and introducing myself in a new way each month! Before I share an update on how I did on my November goals along with the simple goals I have for December, I wanted to let you know that today’s blog will be my last Friday Introduction blog :(

After evaluating my schedule, I’ve decided that I need to make a few changes to my blog in order to allow time for other fun things. In addition to that, starting in 2018, I will more than likely be cutting down to 1 blog per week as opposed to my usual 2-3 blogs per week. But don’t worry! That just means that I will be sharing more content throughout the week on my Facebook page and Instagram page! I believe it is necessary to make these changes to allow time to focus on other things that I am excited about diving into, including, but not limited to, working with my editing clients and coaching other photographers! I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store for me and for Erin Lindsey Images!

Now that we’re in December, I thought I would share how I did with my November Goals, which I shared in last month’s #FridayIntroduction blog! As a recap, below were my November goals (bolded=accomplished):

– Finish coaching program creation

– Read 3 books

– Finish *special project* for photographers

– Release details of a fun giveaway

– Take new headshots

– Paint the downstairs

– Take time every day to intentionally stop, relax, and unwind for a bit

– Decorate for Christmas!

As you can see through the bolded items, I did accomplish most of my goals for November and I am so proud of myself! I honestly didn’t know if I would complete more than 2 of them! Haha!

And as you can see, I am still working on the Coaching Program, which is taking longer than I had hoped, but I believe it is for good reason. This program has taken several different forms from when I first started working on it back in September, even down to starting completely over from scratch a month or so ago. As I’ve heard photographers’ questions, struggles, and interests, I’ve adjusted to try to meet those needs as thoroughly as I possibly can!

I don’t like postponing things, but I think it has been for the best because genuinely I want to create a program that is helpful and affordable for all new photographers! So, if you’re a new or aspiring photographer, get excited! I’m creating this with YOU and your questions and struggles in mind. I hope that this program will be business-changing and life-changing for my future coaching clients. I cannot wait to meet you guys, whoever you are! :)

I do hope to have an early-bird promotion for the Coaching Program available for early purchase at some point this month, so if you’re a new photographer, it might be something you want to add to your Christmas Wish List ;-)

As we enter this holiday season, my only goals for December (besides finishing the Coaching Program;-) is to be intentional with my time… only taking on what I truly believe I should be taking on. To be intentional about loving my family, my friends, my clients, and my husband well. To be intentional about slowing down…. and to not feel guilty about slowing down ;-)

That is what I am choosing to focus on this month. Nothing elaborate or all that “exciting”.  But I hope to be able to do well with these goals this month, because these goals are the most important goals to me.

Forgive me because I know this wasn’t much of an “introduction” blog post as much as it was an “update” blog post. Haha!

I hope you all have a lovely December! :)
