Nick and Stephanie’s wedding day was about as lovely and perfect and dreamy as I could’ve hoped for. And it’s not just because of the PERFECT sunshine and 75 degree weather we had or because of the fantastic team of vendors we worked with! You’ve heard me say it before, and I’m going to say it again… it was because of our dear, sweet clients. My goodness. I just can’t wrap my brain around how lucky we are to work with some of the most wonderful clients at every wedding we photograph.
Nick and Stephanie are the epitome of dreamy clients. I was honestly in love with these two from the moment I met them at their consultation. Their engagement session was so much fun and gave me a glimpse into just how wonderful their wedding day would be. It was obvious just how much they loved and adored each other. Every moment of working with them, even down to our emails back and forth, made my heart happy. Every time I saw an email from Stephanie in my inbox, I couldn’t help but smile :)
The wedding day was everything I had hoped for and more! The day was calm, relaxed, beautiful. Nick and Stephanie were all smiles, so graceful. They were trusting and easy to work with. And they were soaking in each moment. I loved that so much.
The ceremony took place in the garden just before sunset. Nick and Stephanie first saw each other at the ceremony as Stephanie walked down the aisle towards Nick, a moment that Stephanie told me she had always dreamt about. I think it was the perfect moment she dreamed of and I am so happy about that. After the ceremony, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour, I stole Nick and Stephanie away for a few minutes for some sunset portraits. I loved every moment of this time with them. Just watching them embrace and look into each other’s eyes… sharing sweet kisses in-between photos and just enjoying that time together in that first hour of being married, it was beautiful.
The reception was gorgeous (shout out to their vendors for making the reception so lovely! You can find a full list of vendors at the bottom of this blog) and guests enjoyed a variety of food and drinks, fun songs to dance the night away to, and even a surprise late night ice cream float snack passed around. I may or may not have partaken in that snack after I finished photographing it! I couldn’t help myself! ;-)
It really was a perfect wedding day. I am so honored to have photographed it. We love you so much, Nick and Stephanie! You guys are truly a delight. I am so thankful for you and I am so happy for you! I hope you’re enjoying your tropical honeymoon! And I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from your day! :)
When a father-daughter first look turns into a first dance practice session <3 <3 These girls know how to rock the Vogue look! <3 The ceremony site was so lovely! My favorite moment of the day!! Those first moments post-ceremony are the best! My fellow wedding vendor, former client, and dear friend, Michelle, from Just Crumbs, created her final wedding cake… this cake below. I just got choked up because I just now realized that I got to photograph Michelle’s first wedding cake (her own cake) 6 years ago and it is such an honor to have photographed her final cake exactly 6 years later (Nick and Stephanie’s wedding was on Michelle’s wedding anniversary). This girl has done such beautiful work over the years. I’m sad that I won’t be able to photograph it anymore, but yet I am so excited for Michelle in this new chapter of her life! I love you Michelle!! :-* My mouth is watering… When the wind is blowing ever so perfectly… One of my favorites!! I am literally obsessed with these salads! What beautiful plating! Or, I guess it would be “martini-glass-ing” ;-)
