I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for almost a year now! I met Brittany and BJ in 2018 when we were making the shift to cut down on 2019 weddings. I knew I was going to be very very picky on the weddings I booked for this year, but when I met Brittany and BJ, there was no doubt in my mind that I had to work with these two. I guess you could say I fell in love at first meet ;-)
We did their engagement session in the Fall on a drizzly, dreary day, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the shoot and taking some fabulous photos! BJ and Brittany were so delightful that day and just as delightful on their wedding day 9 months later, this past weekend!
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weddings day, bride and groom, group of friends and family, and vendors for this wedding. It was one of the few weddings I chose to shoot this year and boy was it a great one! Everything just seemed to fall into place. The flowers were beautiful, as per usual with my friends at In Bloom Floral Design Studio. The food from The Chef Next Door was delish and the cake by Batter Up was Y-U-M (this pregnant photographer was especially happy about these things).
The thing I love about shooting weddings at the Huntsville Botanical Garden is that no matter what the weather is like, there is always a beautiful option for the ceremony, for the reception, and for portraits. The indoor ceremony in the Carriage House was just as stunning as a ceremony out in the garden. And as an added bonus, BJ proposed to Brittany at the garden in the same exact spot as the photo above, so it held a really special place in their hearts! I love that we were able to revisit the exact spot of the proposal for a few newlywed photos :)
BJ and Brittany were seriously dreamy clients from day one and they still are. Despite the August heat and humidity, they were all smiles and joy on their wedding day. Brittany looked so stunning — she was beaming all day. BJ looked sharp and so in love with his bride. We had a delightful group of bridesmaids and groomsmen (and the cutest flower girls you ever did see!) as well as the sweetest families. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are so lucky to be able to work with such incredible groups of people at each wedding we shoot. I think it is a reflection on the bride and groom and how wonderful they are ;-)
Thank you for reminding me why I love my job, BJ and Brittany. We seriously love you both so much and we’re so thankful that you chose us to capture your day for you. We have really enjoyed every moment of working with you! I’m sure you’re ready for me to stop blabbing and get on with the photos, so here you go! Enjoy! :-D
