Meet Erin

In 2009, my dream became a reality when I started my photography business. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over 200 weddings, each one beautiful, unique, and exciting! Capturing once in a lifetime moments through photography is my passion! I honestly wake up every morning feeling excited about my job!

I see my job as so much more than just photography. My desire is to serve my clients and to serve them well by making sure they have an incredible experience before, during, and after the wedding day. I get excited hearing about my clients’ love stories, how he picked out the ring, how he proposed, and what was going through her mind when she saw him down on his knee. I love to truly get to know my clients, celebrating this wonderful time in their lives with them not just as a photographer, but as a friend.

I invite you to browse my website and blog to view some of my latest work, see past clients raves, and learn a little more about me and my work! (Scroll down for a few randoms about me). I would love to get to know you better and to learn more about your wedding day plans! Let’s talk! You can contact me by clicking on the Contact tab in the menu above! I so look forward to getting to know you better!

A Few Randoms
about me...
Q & A
Q: What are your prices for wedding photography?
A: The Wedding Experience Investment is $6,000 with options to customize! Custom quotes are available for Intimate weddings, elopements, and Destination weddings. To get in touch with me for more information and to see my full Investment Guide, click on the Contact Erin tab!
Q: Will you travel for weddings outside of North Alabama?
A: Yes! I love traveling for weddings! I offer custom packages for destination weddings based on your specific needs. Contact me for more information!
Q: Are you insured and licensed?
A: Yes, I am licensed and insured. I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America.
Q: What techniques do you use to capture great images at a photo session?
A: I always make sure I give as much direction and encouragement as possible during shoots. I know firsthand how uncomfortable it can be to have your photo taken, so I make it a priority to help my clients feel comfortable and have fun!
Q: What should I wear for my Engagement Session?
A: Wear outfits that reflect who you are, make you feel comfortable, and most of all, make you feel FABULOUS! When you feel fabulous, it will show in your photos. Don't we all want that? I recommend two different outfits for a shoot: one dressed-up casual look and one dressy look. In many cases, people use their session as an excuse to buy a new outfit! For more outfit ideas, check out my Photo Session Outfit Pinterest board!
Q: What kind of camera do you use?
A: I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III and a Canon 5D Mark II. I also have another 5D Mark II as an extra backup camera. More importantly, I use Canon L-Series lenses. They compliment the cameras perfectly and allow for the best in image quality and creativity.
Q: I am having a hard time deciding if me and my fiance’ will see each other before the ceremony or not. Do you have any advice that can help us make this decision?
A: Of course, as a photographer, I always love it when my clients choose to do a First Look. Why? Because not only does it allow us more time for portraits, which results in even more photos for my clients to cherish forever (on average, my clients receive about 30% more photos when they do a First Look), but it also allows for a more relaxed, stress-free, un-rushed, enjoyable wedding day experience overall for brides and grooms. I would love to talk in more detail about the pros and cons of a First Look, so please feel free to ask!
Q: What do you love about being a wedding photographer?
A: I love meeting newly engaged couples and hearing their story about how they met and got engaged. I love doing engagement sessions and seeing my couples interact with each other. I love being part of the most important day of their lives when they say “I do” and commit their lives to one another. The joy that I get to witness at every wedding I shoot is so special... I can't even put it into words. I love the friendships that I form and continue to have with former clients even after the wedding day.... I think the question is, What don't I love about my job?
Q: Is wedding photography your full time job?
A: Yes! I have been photographing weddings full time with Erin Lindsey Images since 2010.
