Hello, Third Trimester! || Pregnancy Update

September 23, 2019

I’ve been sharing some updates on this pregnancy over on our Instagram page @BuildingTheLindseys. If you’re not following along there, you totally should ;-) But for those of you who don’t have Instagram, I thought it might be nice to give you a few updates!

First, we’re officially in the third trimester! That is CRAZY to me! It’s amazing how time flies… yet I also feel like 3 more months sounds like an eternity. I just want December to get here and to meet our baby girl!

I am one of the lucky few pregnant women who have had little to no symptoms/issues/discomforts thus far. Besides our tumultuous first month, a week or two of feeling hungry, and a week or two of feeling tired in the early months, the rest of this pregnancy has been incredible. I know that I am so lucky and so blessed to have had no morning sickness, barely any fatigue, and barely any discomfort overall. I’ve told people over the past few months that I have felt so normal almost this whole time that if I couldn’t feel baby girl kicking me every day and if I didn’t start seeing the bump grow over the past month, I would still be questioning that I was actually pregnant. Truly! I am so incredibly thankful that God has allowed me to feel really good and normal thus far.

That being said, I have been noticing more round ligament pain and more back pain over the past 2-3 weeks and it does seem to be getting more intense. I know that will only intensify even more for the remainder of this pregnancy — among other discomforts that will likely only intensify as well. I’m not naive to what the next 3 months will likely hold ;-) But for now, I’m just thankful for what my pregnancy experience has been so far and I hope I will continue to be thankful even as I get more and more uncomfortable.

As you can see, baby girl is growing and so am I! I finally started getting a REAL, noticeable baby bump around week 21 (when I got my first comment from a stranger!:) Ever since then, me and baby girl have been growing and growing!

Another little update: We’re going to Disney World next week! This isn’t really a babymoon because we’re going with Will’s family, so it won’t be just us. But it will likely be our last trip before baby, so we’re going to enjoy it and do some things just the two of us here and there! Yes, we’re going to take it really easy, take alot of breaks, drink alot of water, and we may end up getting me a wheelchair too just to make sure I don’t overdo it. We’ll see ;-)

A few other quick updates: We have the nursery pretty much completely decorated and ready to go! We’re also less than a month away from our baby shower, which is crazy and exciting to think about. We’ll be doing our maternity photos in a couple of weeks out on our land, so that makes me happy :)

Speaking of land… alot of people have been asking how house building is going. We’re actually not actively doing house building/house planning stuff right now. We’re not in any rush and we have a tiny little someone that we’re kind of focusing on over these next few months ;-) So right now, we’re not really planning or thinking about new house stuff. We’d like to get this baby girl out, then enjoy some time with her before revisiting house plans.

I think that’s about it for now! Like I mentioned earlier, we’ve been posting updates on our @BuildingTheLindseys Instagram page, so if you’d like to see more regular updates and photos, you should definitely go check that page out and give it a follow! :)

Thank you all for being excited with us during this journey! We are so excited to meet our baby girl in just a few short months!

You look beautiful! I remember when you did my photography class that you mentioned you didn’t get in front of the camera much. You’ll be so glad you took these shots. Wishing all of you the best. Enjoy every small moment, because it goes so fast!
