Engagements, In Love

December 20, 2016

I have been waiting for almost 13 years to post this blog! Yes, 13 years! Haha! Let me explain… I met Niña and her sweet family a year or two after my family first moved to Alabama back in 2012. So many fun memories are flashing through my mind right now as I type this! Haha!

One ongoing memory in particular was when Niña would do the styling and I would do the behind the scenes photography for Christian music artist interview videos created and conducted by Niña’s brother. Those were the days!! We had so much fun! And now that I’m thinking about it, those photography jobs were some of my very first photography jobs I ever had. WOW! I am just now realizing this as I’m typing it.  So I guess you could say that Niña was there from the beginning… and now its time for her engagement photos! Ahh! That makes my heart so very happy!

Words cannot describe how much joy I felt when I found out that Niña had gotten engaged! I knew that whoever was lucky enough to marry Niña must be a truly amazing guy. And Josh is just that. What a guy! When I met him at their engagement session last month, I could instantly see that he was a perfect fit for my dear friend. As the shoot continued on, that feeling of pure joy I felt for Niña grew and grew with every hug, with every infatuated gaze they gave each other. She found her perfect match! My heart is bursting with happiness even right now. I love seeing my dear friend so happy and she makes Josh happy in return. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

We did Josh and Niña’s engagement session at Josh’s family lake house in Guntersville. It’s always so special to do shoots in locations that have special meaning to the couple. And it’s even more wonderful when said location is GORGEOUS! And as if the house, leaves, and water weren’t fabulous enough, we decided to do part of the shoot out on a boat in the middle of the lake before finishing up with some string lights and dancing on a rooftop!

Enjoy a few of my favorites from Josh and Niña’s engagement session!

The photo above was one of the very first photos we took that day. Even the test shots show how happy they are together <3 A little picnic with some wine — my kind of shoot! ;-) One of my favorites! I love how happy they make each other!  Favorite! Those natural colors and the lighting were to die for! (no editing on this one!)A little bit of dancing on the rooftop at sunset… They had me at “How about we go on the boat to take some photos on the lake?“. YES PLEASE!  I love how Niña looks at Josh… Love.   Dancing on the rooftop, just the two of them — the perfect end to a perfect day…

I'd love to chat with you!
